India’s Northwest container market analysis

DP World had been exploring the possibility of investing in Nargol Port, located in South Gujarat. The project involved an assessment of the container market in Northwest India. ASCELA assessed the share of Rail and Road- observable trends and factors influencing modal split, evaluated key transport links between the port’s immediate and secondary hinterland, assessed key trends and regulatory environment, including Direct Port Delivery, and developed a forecast of target port container traffic and market share allocation over the forecast period.
