Techno-Economic feasibility study for ‘Revamping of existing West Quay-6 terminal in the northern arm of the inner harbor of Vishakhapatnam Port for the handling of dry bulk cargo on DBFOT basis

The existing West Quay-6 (WQ-6) berth in the Inner Harbour of Vishakhapatnam Port had been developed on PPP mode by Vishakhapatnam Port Authority i.e., VPA (formerly Vishakhapatnam Port Trust i.e., VPT). It was being operated by the earlier Concessionaire, beginning in July 2015. Subsequently, the commercial operations were stalled in March 2019 and the Concession Agreement was terminated on May 31, 2020. VPA, in 2021, intended to carry out a techno-economic feasibility study to initiate the project of revamping the WQ-6 terminal and inviting new operators.
