Technical, Commercial, and Financial Feasibility Study for development of Riverine Port facility on river Mahanadi
The Government of Odisha intended to develop a riverine port on the left bank of River Mahanadi in the Kendrapara district. At the exact location, on the right bank of the river, a captive jetty is under consideration, the proposal of which is submitted by Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India Limited to the Government of Odisha. A traffic cum demand assessment study was done by M/s WAPCOS Limited in the year 2015 for the development of the riverine port. Under the assignment, the consultant was required to update the previous traffic study considering the development of both the riverine port and captive jetty on either side of the river Mahanadi.
