IWAI, with the support of the World Bank, is in the process of developing Freight Villages and Logistics hubs along National Waterways- 1 (NW1) on the river Ganga. Select locations at Sahibganj (Jharkhand), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), and Haldia (West Bengal) are to be developed as Freight Village/ Multi-Modal Logistics Hubs (MMLP). Our scope was to undertake a ‘Market Assessment’ for the upcoming Freight Village and Logistic Hubs at Sahibganj and Haldia.
