Container Traffic Study and Demand Assessment for Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port

This included an assessment of year-wise container traffic forecast (including type of containerized cargoes) for SMPK (Haldia and Kolkata) up to 2053. ASCELA conducted a broad origin and destination study of container cargo and mapped the primary O-D centers, key cargo profile, and demand. We also assessed the impact of developments in HDC and KDS due to other existing (neighboring ports to SMPK on the east coast) and upcoming competing Ports (like Balagarh, Tajpur, Subernarekha and likewise).
