Advisor to EY for preparation of 10 years’ Perspective Plan for the Port and Maritime sector in the state of Maharashtra, India

Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) intended to prepare a 10-year Perspective Plan for the Port and Maritime sector in Maharashtra. The perspective plan shall set the vision for growth and development and further inform various future strategic interventions of MMB over a 10-year horizon. ASCELA identified development goals based on the diagnostic study and current and future hinterland assessment. We also conceptualized interactions required across various sub-sectors to achieve the 10-year vision along with components of the Ports and Maritime sector including new ports, coastal shipping, inland waterways, logistics facilities, connectivity projects, and other similar interventions required to capture the maximum share of the key commodities. Through the above assessment, we developed a roadmap to achieve the global logistic cost benchmark and its implementation strategy.
